Yeast feed, e.g. yeast cultures, called YC for short, is a medium that has been converted, by culturing yeast on it, into a high quality bio-active protein product. The product is powder in form and light yellow to brown in color, and disseminates a special smell like yeast. The product is salmonella-free, and has proved to be highly effective in fish and shrimp feeding when incorporated into the diets.

Nutrient composition:
　　The contents is a protein feed, the contents of the three main limiting amino acids ( Methionine ,Lysine and Tryptophane)are all higher than those in soybean meal, with lysine being 25% higher. The product is also rich in vitamins (especially B vitamins)and various trace minerals and growth promoting factors ,and is a green bio-active protein feed product that is both nutritious and health improving in its function. Moisture≤10%，Ash≤10%,Yeast cells≥4billion/g,Living cells≥70%,Crude protein divide three rate: 1.CP≥40% 2.CP≥50% 3.CP≥60%.

·High protein bioavai lability :The apparent protein digestibility of the YC is 89.3% in growing pigs and 91.1% in laying hens;

Target animals and the usage:

Effectiveness:
·He yun-juan(1994) reported that in pigs the daily gain can be 5.7-19.0% higher and feed efficicncy 2.1-3.9% better by feeding YC.
·Chen Shao-fei et al . (1999)reported that in pou 1 try fertility of the eggs can be 1.7% higher and the hatchabillty can be 1.3% higher by feeding YC.
·Wallace et al.(1993) reported after reviewing 18 literatures that milk production of dairy cow can be 7.8% higher by feeding YC.
·Zhao jian-min (1993)reported that the carp production can be 150kg more in a 670m2 pool, feed efficiency can be 10% better and body tissue condition can be better in YC groups than in fish meal groups;
·Wang Shu-han and Ding Shao-jun reported that in New Zealand rabbits the daily gain can be 11% higher and feed efficiency can be 5.6% higher by feeding YC;
·Zhang Ai-guo(1993) reported that the feed cost can be 0.22 RMB yuan/kg less by feeding YC in meat ducks;
