Aquatic animals in farming are stressed by a number of factors. Water quality parameters that influence the growth and health of aquatic animals such a temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and ammonia fluctuate daily and seasonally.
Toxic metabolites such as nitrites and sulfites accumulate in ponds as animals grow. Culture practices like water exchange and handling, birds and other animals entering the pond environment, and human activities introduce microbial pathogens in to the culture system and into the gut of the animal. When unfavorable environmental factors combine with microbial pathogens, the result is stress that leads to poor growth and feed conversion, disease, morbidity and mortality.

Gut is the major entry point for most pathogenic bacteria. Gut health is now recognized as one of the most important ways to maintain general animal health. Scientific research has proven that probiotic microorganisms play a major role in promoting gut health. They do so by colonizing the gut of their host animals and thereby competitively excluding pathogens that would otherwise invade the gut and cause disease. The beneficial microbes also produce antimicrobial compounds that inhibit pathogens and immunostimulants that enhance the ability of the host animals to fight against the pathogens.

DESCRIPTION
Efinol FG is a combination of highly concentrated, thermostable microbial cultures that can withstand pelleting temperatures; immunostimulants; and select nutrients. These synergistically lead to healthy colonization of gut wall, enhancement of defense mechanisms and reduction of stress in aquatic organisms at the grow-out stage.

COMPOSITION
Efinol FG is composed of beneficial microbes like
Bacillus subtilis
Bacillus licheniformis

along with immunostimulants, selected nutrients, free-flow and anti-caking agents.

APPLICATION & USAGE RATES
Efinol FG is to be used during times of handling, temperature changes, medications, changes in feed formulas (transitional feeds) and other stress situations in which animal performance could be adversely affected.
Efinol FG is recommended to be added directly into the mixer at the rate of 4kg per metric ton of feed for management of moderate stress and at the rate of 6kg per metric ton for extremely stressful conditions.

APPEARANCE
Efinol FG is off-white to tan colored free flowing powder, with a bland odor. Change in product color does not affect product performance.

STABILITY
Efinol FG is stable for 12 months from the date of manufacture.

STORAGE
Efinol FG should be stored in a cool dry place away from sunlight. Keep the container closed when not in use.

PRESENTATION
Efinol FG is available in 20 kg heat sealed PE bags.

COMPATIBILITY
Efinol FG is compatible for use with all commonly used additives in feeds.
