FormaXol® is an encapsulated source of protected formic acid and essential oils in one product. This formulation protects calcium formiate in the stomach and duodenum avoiding excessive acid release and allows a longer and stable "in-situ" formic acid release along the intestine modulating the GIT's microflora by a selective action against negative bacteria. Furthermore the essential oils give synergic effect against some bacteria and gut parasitic pathogens.
